Stuart Webster, CEO, Pineconeonne, Los  Angeles

As a Kiwi Lawyer turned US Attorney, Stu Webster is licensed to practice law in California and New Zealand and is a co-founder of a company developed to assist Kiwi businesses establish themselves and expand in the US and for US citizens and business entities to move to NZ.

With a total of more than 33 years in the law, Stu was a partner for 24 years with Napier firm Sainsbury Logan & Williams specialising in commercial law, civil litigation and employment law before moving to Los Angeles where he sat the California Bar and established his legal practice and cross-border consultancy business.

As the product of the small Northland town of Maungaturoto, a student of law in Wellington and Auckland and a law firm partner in Hawke’s Bay, Stu has a breadth of experience across a number of disciplines.

Besides law, Stu has been a foundation shareholder and director of The Village Press olive oil company, a government appointed director on the Hawke’s Bay Airport board, director of Justitia Mutual Incorporated, an Iona College Council member, a lecturer at the Eastern Institute of Technology and a Vice President of the New Zealand Law Society.

Given his participation in the olive industry, including marketing and sales in the US and elsewhere Stu, is well-equipped to understand the challenges facing businesses in a highly competitive environment. He has a passion for helping entrepreneurial Kiwis and brings a valuable legal and commercial perspective to any business wishing to play in one of the world’s biggest markets.
