Robert Falvey|Senior International Counsel
Robert is a specialist corporate and commercial lawyer. His wealth of experience includes domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, divestments, public offerings, securities law, corporate reorganisations, technology licensing, joint ventures, due diligence reviews, film and television production, financing and contract law generally.
Robert has advised on various corporate funding arrangements and disposals in the energy and oil and gas sectors. He advises the financial services industry on mergers & acquisitions and restructurings, and the technology industry on all aspects of media production and global cross border transactions. Robert also frequently advises the film and entertainment industry on all production aspects and the forestry sector on private mergers and acquisitions.
In the corporate market, Robert’s focus has been on in-bound cross-border transactions advising clients on public (takeovers code) mergers and acquisitions. He advises public and private clients on all aspects of corporate governance, private equity, equity capital markets and commercial contracting.
Some of Robert’s longstanding corporate clients include Coles Myer; Koch Industries and Progressive Enterprises Limited, and he has advised mutuals such as Southern Cross Health as well as listed entities including Progressive Enterprises Ltd, Turners & Growers, WEL Energy Group and multinational corporates including Weyerhaeuser and Coca-Cola Amatil (NZ). His film clients have included the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, and the "Xena" and "Hercules" television series.
