After more than a decade of development in New Zealand, Auckland-based medtech company OptiRTP traveled to the SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington DC in May this year and - according to the U.S. Commercial Service - became the first New Zealand company to ever place in the Summit's Defense pitch competition, finishing third globally.

"Standing in that room in Washington and delivering that pitch - representing not just OptiRTP but New Zealand - was one of the most memorable moments of my career. Being selected into Select Global Women in Tech on top of that means the relationship with SelectUSA continues well beyond the competition itself. None of it happened in isolation.
